What It Does
Google's personal AI agent within the Gemini app. It handles multi-step tasks across Google apps such as Gmail·Calendar·Drive·Docs and a web browser, and runs recurring tasks on schedules or under specified conditions. It runs in the cloud, so work continues even when your phone or laptop is off, and it is designed to request user confirmation before important actions.

Who It Is For (Site Operator's Opinion)
Suitable for heavy Gmail·Calendar·Drive users who want to delegate recurring work such as scheduling and email processing throughout the day. In South Korea, access is currently confirmed only for Ultra subscribers.

Where to Use It
Click 'Switch to Spark' in the sidebar of the gemini.google.com web app, use the Spark tab in the Gemini mobile app, or the Spark menu in the Gemini app for Mac. Requires age 18 or above, a personal Google account (work/school accounts ineligible), a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, and 'Keep Activity' enabled. Web tasks use auto browse in desktop Chrome (a local browser) or a remote browser.

The Pro card on the South Korean subscription page does not statically display a monthly price. The official South Korean blog (2026-10-02) only confirms an annual price of 290,000 won and a 40% discount for new annual subscriptions at 174,000 won (equivalent to 14,500 won per month, through October 31). Spark availability for South Korean Pro subscribers is unconfirmed.

Supported Regions
According to current help documentation, it is available wherever the Gemini app is supported, except the European Economic Area (EEA), Nigeria, Switzerland, and the UK. Rollout history: 2026-05-19 US (Ultra beta) → 2026-06-17 expansion (then excluding South Korea·Japan·Australia·Canada·Hong Kong·India, among others) → 2026-07-14 expanded to Ultra subscribers in all supported countries except the EEA·Nigeria·Switzerland·UK, in all Gemini app languages (including South Korea·Japan) → 2026-07-16 available in English to US Pro subscribers. Unavailable in the EU (EEA). Available only in the mobile app, Mac app, and gemini.google.com web app.
What We Have Not Yet Confirmed
- Google AI Pro standard monthly price in South Korea: could not be confirmed because it is not statically displayed on the official subscription page (only 290,000 won annually confirmed).
- Spark availability for Pro subscribers outside the US (South Korea·Japan, etc.): the official update log only records 'US Pro, English' on 2026-07-16. Requirements help documentation only says 'Pro or Ultra', leaving country-specific Pro availability unclear. The South Korean blog (2026-10-02) introduces a 'personal AI agent feature' as a Pro feature but does not use the name Spark.
- Korean language support: the 2026-07-14 Ultra rollout in 'all Gemini app languages' is interpreted as including Korean, but no official statement explicitly names Korean.
- 'Gemini Agent' launched in November 2025 (US Ultra, web); its current help URL (answer/16596215) leads to Spark help. No official statement announcing that Spark replaced Agent was found.
- Exact usage limits by plan: help documentation only states that 'compute-based limits vary by subscription tier' and specifies a maximum of 15 simultaneous tasks.
